Vivo induzierte Ethanol (4 g/kg) Magen- und Zwölffingerdarmschäden, die mit oxidativem Stress einhergehen (↑MDA, ↓SOD, CAT, GPx). Die Vorbehandlung mit EAQI (100-400 mg/kg) korrigierte dosisabhängig die morphologischen und biochemischen Veränderungen, wobei die Wirksamkeit höher war als bei Ergebnisse lassen auf ein hohes antiulceratives und antioxidatives Potenzial von Quercus ilex schließen.
